Frequently Asked Questions

Handmade in Hobsonville, Auckland, New Zealand | Shipping worldwide

About the Artwork

What is the Suspended Light collection?
Suspended Light is a series of wall artworks featuring handmade clay tiles suspended on glass. Each tile is carefully crafted, designed, and arranged by hand, creating a textural interplay between light, reflection, and shadow. The pieces evolve with the changing light of the day — no two are ever the same.

Are all pieces one of a kind?
Yes — every artwork is individually made in my Hobsonville, Auckland studio. Each clay tile is handcrafted and placed by hand, so even works with similar designs have unique differences in tone and texture.

What are the sizes and framing options?
Most gold-framed pieces measure approximately 90cm x 60cm in aluminium and timber, and include concealed hanging hooks for a seamless finish. Some designs, such as Ribbon in the Wind, Rose Gold Starburst, and Earth and Water Cascade, are presented in white timber frames (fully treated) for a lighter, more contemporary aesthetic.

Do you take commissions or custom requests?
Yes. If you love a particular piece but need a specific size, colour tone, or frame finish, I’m happy to discuss custom commissions. Please email sashi.handmade.nz@gmail.com to start the conversation.
